Anthropic at 60%, OpenAI at 21%, Google at 12%, xAI at 6%, Meta at 3%, with the rest of a fifteen-name field at 1% or below.

Three versions of this question sit on this board, resolving at the end of September, October and December. The leader's number across them runs 87%, then 74%, then 60%. That is one of the cleanest illustrations of forecast horizon you will find anywhere.

Nothing about the companies changes between those three questions. The only difference is how much time remains for the standing to shift — and each additional month bleeds roughly thirteen points away from the front-runner and redistributes it across the field. Notice too that the beneficiaries change: Google and xAI pick up far more weight at the December horizon than at September's.

The general principle is worth carrying to any question: a large share of any forecast is simply a statement about time remaining, not about the world.
