What this question means

Note the word "emergency". This is not the ordinary rate-cut question — it asks about an unscheduled, off-cycle move, which is a different event with a different base rate.

Priced at 6%, down from 8% a month ago inside a 3% to 9% band.

The distinction matters because the regular cut questions on this board sit at 4% by October and 7% by December, with zero cuts across 2026 at 93%. An emergency cut is not a subset of those in the usual sense — it is what happens when something breaks badly enough to override the calendar.

So the 6% is not really a forecast about monetary policy. It is a forecast about the probability of a disruption severe enough to force one, which is why it barely moves with the rate outlook. Questions that look related but measure different underlying things should be expected to behave independently.
